Bristol City are close to completing a deal to sign Swedish defender Noah Eile from New York Red Bulls as a replacement for the departing Zak Vyner. Fabrizio Romano reports that the 23-year-old centre-back is set to join the Championship club in the final days of the January transfer window. An agreement has been reached between the clubs for a transfer fee of $4.2 million (£3.09 million).
The Sweden under-21 international, who made 30 appearances in the MLS last season, has approved the move to Ashton Gate, and the club aims to finalise the transfer before the window closes at 7pm on February 2. Eile joined the New York Red Bulls on January 31, 2024, and has 10 caps for Sweden's U21 team. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €2.00m.
