Brighton & Hove Albion have a concrete interest in Noah Atubolu, a 23-year-old German-Nigerian goalkeeper from SC Freiburg. Atubolu plans to leave this summer, even though his contract is due to expire next year. The Premier League club, which is managed by Fabian Hürzeler, is considering Atubolu because of the potential departure of their current first-choice goalkeeper, Bart Verbruggen. It is reported that Verbruggen is on FC Bayern's list.

However, Brighton's chances are not considered very high, as Atubolu also has options with top-tier clubs in the Bundesliga. An unnamed club from the top 5 is said to have already taken action. Last year, Atubolu had links to Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen, but that interest did not solidify. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €20.00m. The German U21 international has 22 caps and has made 29 appearances in the Bundesliga this season.
