Negotiations have not yet started for Greek goalkeeper Christos Mandas, 24, to move to AFC Bournemouth. The Premier League club is offering a loan with an option to buy for a total of just over €15 million. Lazio's request is for a loan with an obligation to buy valued between €18 million and €20 million. An agreement may be defined at the beginning of next week, as Lazio wants to wait until after its match against Como to finalize any sale in order to have time to find an experienced and reliable replacement.
Mandas, who joined Lazio in September 2023 and has a contract until June 2029, has not made any appearances in Serie A this season. The two-cap Greece international has also been recently linked with several Serie A clubs, including Torino, Genoa, and Juventus. Lazio's asking price has fluctuated. Reports from late 2025 and early 2026 set an asking price between €10 million and €15 million, down from a reported valuation of €20 million to €30 million in the summer of 2025. His current Transfermarkt market value is €5.00m.
