Gessime Yassine, a 20-year-old Moroccan international, joined Strasbourg from French second-tier club Dunkerque in January for approximately 7m euros (£6m), signing a four-and-a-half-year contract. The winger was reportedly of interest to Barcelona before the move and is now considered to be of interest to Strasbourg's partner club, Chelsea. In the 2025/2026 season, he made a combined 25 appearances in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, contributing two goals and nine assists. Yassine has four caps for Morocco and his current market value is €12.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
