Borussia Mönchengladbach has recently made an inquiry about Manchester United's 30-year-old Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana, as the German club is looking to strengthen its squad due to the impending departure of Noah Atubolu. The Bundesliga team is reportedly interested in Onana. The goalkeeper's European experience, background at Ajax Amsterdam, and technical skills, such as his stability and precise footwork, are considered suitable for German football.

Manchester United has not yet decided on the player's future, with options ranging from keeping him to a potential sale. Onana, who has 53 caps for Cameroon, is currently on loan at Trabzonspor, where he has made 23 appearances in the Süper Lig this season. Several Serie A clubs, including Inter, Roma, and Juventus, have also been associated with an interest in the goalkeeper. According to reports from March 2026, Manchester United's asking price is between €45-50 million. He completed a transfer from Inter Milan to Manchester United in July 2023 for a reported €52.5 million. The interest from Borussia Mönchengladbach is currently at the initial contact stage.
