Borussia Dortmund is considering centre-forward Nick Woltemade as a potential successor for Serhou Guirassy and is monitoring the German international. The 24-year-old reportedly wants to first concentrate on the end of the season with Newcastle United and the upcoming World Cup. A transfer could become a possibility in the summer if his situation with the Magpies does not improve. For the Black and Yellows, only a loan deal would be an option.

In the current Premier League season, he has scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 27 appearances. Last summer, FC Bayern was reportedly close to signing Woltemade before he moved from VfB Stuttgart to the Premier League for 75 million euros. Woltemade has 10 caps and 4 goals for Germany. He joined Newcastle in August 2025 and has a contract that runs until 2031. His current Transfermarkt market value is €65.00m.
