Birmingham City has permanently signed midfielder Jhon Solís from Girona, although Chelsea had closely followed the 21-year-old's progress during the second half of the season. The English club exercised the purchase option in his loan agreement for a fee of approximately 7 million euros after the Colombian became a regular player following his arrival in the winter.
During the 2025/2026 season, Solís made 12 appearances for Girona in LaLiga before making 17 appearances and scoring one goal for Birmingham in the Championship. Solís has not yet made his senior debut for the Colombian national team, and his current market value is €4.50m according to Transfermarkt. Girona originally signed the player for a reported €6 million in September 2023, and their asking price was cited as €8 million in May 2026.
