According to TZ, Bayern Munich are considering a return for their 23-year-old former goalkeeper, Johannes Schenk, as part of a potential overhaul of their goalkeeping staff for the next season. It is anticipated that Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich may retire, which would likely lead to Jonas Urbig being promoted to the number one position and create vacancies for a second and third goalkeeper. Schenk is a German who was developed in Bayern's academy and was a member of the first-team squad as the fourth keeper in the 2022/23 season.

He is currently on loan at the Belgian club SK Beveren from Preußen Münster. Bayern is reportedly following his performances closely and has a positive assessment of them. According to Transfermarkt, the goalkeeper's current market value is €1.50m. He has also previously attracted interest from several other German clubs. Schenk informed @tzmuenchen that his current focus is on performing to his best ability this season and developing daily to help his team. He also stated that he is very ambitious and wants to play at the highest possible level.
