Brighton & Hove Albion submitted a 45 million euro offer for 24-year-old attacking midfielder Malik Tillman on Monday, shortly before the transfer deadline. Bayer Leverkusen rejected the offer, as the club's management was unwilling to part with the US international, who joined the club in July 2025 and is under contract until 2030.
Tillman, who has 35 caps and 5 goals for the United States, had reportedly been open to a transfer for a period this summer due to frustration over limited playing time at the end of the previous season, but his situation has since changed under new head coach Carles Martínez. In addition to Brighton's bid, PSV and West Ham United have also been linked with the player, whose market value is estimated at €30.00m by Transfermarkt. Earlier in the summer, Bayer Leverkusen's asking price was reportedly between €30 million and €35 million.
