Aston Villa is among several English clubs observing the circumstances of Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, a 22-year-old Ghanaian winger. His future at Leicester City is uncertain following the club's relegation to League One. The player is under contract until 2029 and it is not anticipated he will consider playing in the third division. Other English teams, including Fulham, Brentford, Bournemouth, and Everton, are also observing him.

Additionally, it is reported that Villarreal CF in Spain is interested. In Germany, RB Leipzig is observing the player's development for the next transfer window, although no official approach has yet been made. Issahaku joined Leicester in July 2024 from Sporting CP for a fee reported to be €17 million and has 27 caps and 3 goals for Ghana. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €24.00m. Reports from April 2026 suggested Leicester would accept offers around €24 million due to their relegation. His release clause is reportedly around €35 million. An offer from Sunderland of approximately €32 million was reportedly rejected in the summer of 2025.
