Vangelis Pavlidis is expected to be the subject of transfer activity this summer, with Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, and AS Roma interested in the 27-year-old Greek striker. Pavlidis has also been linked with Turkish clubs Besiktas and Fenerbahçe, and is reportedly on a list at Chelsea. Benfica, who signed Pavlidis from AZ for eighteen million euros last season, is open to negotiating his contract, which runs until mid-2029, but would want a higher fee. A formal offer for the player has not yet been made.

The striker has 55 caps and 10 goals for Greece and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €32.00m. Reports from May 2026 state that Benfica is willing to negotiate for around €50 million and that his contract includes a release clause of €100 million.
