Hull City and Werder Bremen were among numerous domestic and foreign clubs pursuing 20-year-old German-Kosovan Arijon Ibrahimović after his loan from FC Bayern München to 1. FC Heidenheim ended. However, the current plan is for him to stay. The forward is now expected to be part of Bayern's professional squad for the new season, despite expectations of another transfer.

Arijon Ibrahimović is expected to extend his contract, which currently runs until 2027 and includes an option for an additional year. Transfermarkt.de was the first to report that he was close to an extension, and that the new deal is intended to be fixed until 2028. This new prospect at his youth club is reportedly more appealing to the player than a primary role at another club, which is partly due to talks with coach Vincent Kompany. During the 2025/2026 Bundesliga season, Ibrahimović made 34 appearances, in which he scored 2 goals and provided 4 assists. According to Transfermarkt, the Germany U21 international has a current market value of €10.00m. Reports in October 2025 suggested that Bayern valued the player at approximately €4 million. A loan to Lazio in January 2025 reportedly included an option to buy for an amount between €8 million and €10 million.
