According to transfer journalist Patrick Berger, 24-year-old Algerian winger Anis Hadj Moussa is on Borussia Dortmund's shortlist. Berger stated that although Dortmund finds the player to be an exciting name, a deal will probably not be attainable. He also added that other targets are higher on the German club's list and are being pursued more concretely.

Hadj Moussa's name has also previously appeared in rumors linking him to Newcastle United, with The Magpies having possibly identified him as a transfer target. His contract in Rotterdam is valid until mid-2030, according to Transfermarkt. The Algerian international has 14 caps and one goal for his country, and in the 2025/2026 Eredivisie season, he scored 11 goals and provided 6 assists in 30 appearances. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €23.00m. Feyenoord's asking price has reportedly risen substantially; after the club rejected a €28 million bid from Benfica in summer 2025, its demand was reported to be over €40 million in May 2026.
