Al Hilal has renewed contact regarding Victor Osimhen, a 27-year-old Nigerian international striker for Galatasaray, as the club considers strengthening its attacking department and anticipating Karim Benzema’s succession. The Saudi club recently resumed contact with the Nigerian scorer’s representatives to assess the possibilities of a transfer again. Osimhen, who has scored 35 goals in 52 appearances for Nigeria, had previously been approached by clubs from the Saudi Pro League during the last summer transfer window but chose to continue his career in Europe.
Al Hilal had previously tried to convince the player to join the Saudi Pro League during the previous summer transfer window, but Osimhen rejected the option, preferring at the time to continue his career in Europe after joining Galatasaray in July 2025. Several other top European clubs, including FC Barcelona, Manchester United, and Atlético Madrid, are also linked with the player. Al Hilal will have to consider the player’s wishes and the position of Galatasaray. Galatasaray has a long-term contract with the striker, and the club reportedly values him between €120 million and €150 million. Galatasaray rejected offers of €125 million from Atlético Madrid and €100 million from Manchester United in August 2026.
