This figure was consistently cited in reports from September 2025 onwards, sometimes broken down as a €2 million loan fee plus a €23 million purchase obligation. One report in September 2025 mentioned a lower total package of €20 million. Earlier, in April 2025, reports suggested he could be sold for over €25 million to become Freiburg's record transfer. His previous move from Ingolstadt to SC Freiburg in August 2022 was for a reported €2.9 million.
