El Nacional reports that FC Barcelona is studying four alternative options to Marcus Rashford, and one of these is Manchester City winger Jack Grealish, a 30-year-old England international. The Catalan club is reportedly considering this alternative plan due to financial pressures, as it is not guaranteed they will pay Rashford's €30 million buyout clause. Grealish has impressed while on loan at Everton this season, recording two goals and six assists in 20 Premier League appearances, but his season is potentially finished because of an injury.
It is also reported that Lyon’s Malick Fofana, Nicolo Zaniolo of Udinese, and Said El Mala of Koln are on Barcelona's list of alternatives. The winger has 39 caps for his country and is under contract with Manchester City until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €25.00m. Recent reports from January and February 2026 suggest the €50 million purchase option in his Everton loan is considered unrealistic, with the club reportedly interested in a permanent deal for closer to half that amount.
