FC Basel has submitted an offer of 1.5 million euros for Zoumana Bagbema from the French third-division club Caen. The Swiss club is the first to have acted on its interest in the 22-year-old French and Ivorian midfielder. KAA Gent from Belgium and the Turkish club Göztepe are also interested in the player, whose contract is valid until 2028. Basel is looking to fill a vacancy in their midfield after Léo Leroy's departure. Bagbema joined Caen in July 2025. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €250k.
