Piast Gliwice is one of two Ekstraklasa clubs interested in Zamiq Aliyev, a 24-year-old Azerbaijani central defender from Egnatia Rrogozhinë. Motor Lublin is also reportedly considering the player. Aliyev has also attracted interest from unnamed teams in Ukraine and Turkey, which have supposedly submitted concrete offers. A transfer will not happen in the winter, but it is possible the Polish clubs may renew their interest in the summer. The defender joined the Albanian club in July 2024 and his contract runs until June 2027. This season, Aliyev has made 12 appearances in the Kategoria Superiore and has been capped twice by Azerbaijan. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €350k.
