Zak Gilsenan has signed a contract with Halifax Town after leaving Grimsby Town, for whom he made five appearances. The move reunites Gilsenan with manager John McGrath, who managed him during a loan spell at Buxton last season. Gilsenan stated that the manager was a significant factor in his decision, explaining that the management team had enabled him to perform at his best during his previous time with them.
