York City boss Stuart Maynard admits he would like to sign Sunderland loanee Zak Johnson permanently. The 21-year-old scored the first goal of his 11-game spell in York’s 3-0 win at Wealdstone last Saturday. Via the York Press, Maynard said that they would, 100 per cent, like to sign Johnson permanently. He stated that when they went in to loan him they knew all about Zak, on and off of the pitch, and that he has a real chance. Maynard also said that conversations come at the end of the season and that you just never know.
