Russian-Greek goalkeeper Yury Lodygin is nearing a move to APOEL in Cyprus, with his contract at Levadiakos concluding at the end of the month. The 35-year-old, who has 11 caps for Russia, is a personal choice of Nikos Papadopoulos, who has already been appointed as the new manager of APOEL. It is reported that Papadopoulos is looking to reunite with players he managed at Levadiakos. The deal is said to be at an advanced stage, and Lodygin is seriously considering the move to the Cypriot league. His experience, quality, and the fact that Papadopoulos knows him well are key reasons he is a priority for APOEL. In response to the potential departure, Levadiakos has reportedly started looking for a new goalkeeper. Lodygin joined Levadiakos in August 2025 and made 24 appearances in the Super League 1 in the 2025/2026 season; his current Transfermarkt market value is €250k.
