Yuri Transfer from Atlético GO U20 to Palmeiras

According to ESPN BR, Palmeiras ended negotiations for Yuri Alves because Atlético-GO changed the terms of the deal. The player had an agreement in place with Palmeiras and was close to completing a loan move to the sub-20 team.

On Monday, negotiations ended for the transfer of Yuri Alves, a 19-year-old forward from Atlético-GO, to Palmeiras. The proposed arrangement was a loan to Palmeiras’ under-20 team at no cost, which would have included a purchase option at the end of the loan.

Yuri Alves's transaction will initially be a loan at no cost. A decision on his purchase will be made when he moves to the professional team. Alves will be unable to play for Palmeiras in the Copa São Paulo due to tournament regulations that required registration in the CBF's Boletim Informativo Diário (BID) by October 6.

Palmeiras has arranged to sign 19-year-old forward Yuri Alves from Atlético-GO. He attracted attention with his performances in the Série B do Brasileirão, where he played in 22 matches and scored one goal. The agreement is for a one-season loan from Atlético-GO that includes an option to buy. Alves is set to initially join the under-20 team at Palmeiras and has the prospect of opportunities in the professional squad during the season. The deal's structure is comparable to the one for Larson, who was loaned from Goiás and is now anticipated to remain with the club permanently. Palmeiras intends to make the transfer permanent at the end of the next year if Alves impresses. It was reported that the negotiations were smooth, which was attributed to the good relationship between Palmeiras president Leila Pereira and Adson Batista of Atlético-GO.
