América de Cali is interested in signing Yeison Guzmán, a 27-year-old Colombian attacking midfielder from the Brazilian club Fortaleza. It is reported that negotiations are already in an advanced stage. The pursuit of the player is said to be backed by Tulio Gómez, the club's majority shareholder, and is also driven by a long-standing desire from manager David González. González previously coached Guzmán at Deportes Tolima. América de Cali will reportedly seek a one-year loan with a purchase option. It is thought that negotiations could be facilitated by Fortaleza's relegation to Brazil's Serie B. Guzmán's contract with Fortaleza is valid until 31/12/2028, and his current market value on Transfermarkt is €1.50m.
