The transfer was made official by Montpellier on Friday, with the club paying approximately 1 million euros for the player. Benhattab signed a contract that will last until June 2029 and stated that Montpellier was his only choice and he is very happy to be there. According to Transfermarkt, the player has a current market value of €2.00m. He had also been linked with other clubs, including Krasnodar and FC Utrecht.
