Yanis Karabelyov Transfer from Partizan to Malmö FF
Yanis Karabelyov, a 30-year-old Bulgarian international with 12 caps, has joined Malmö FF from the Serbian club Partizan on a two-year contract. The central midfielder, who will wear the number 6 shirt, was developed at Slavia Sofia. He joined Partizan on a free transfer in July 2025, and in the current season made 20 appearances in the Super liga Srbije, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists. Malmö FF had been pursuing the player, and Rapid Bucuresti was also recently linked. The signing may be a replacement for Lasse Berg Johnsen, who is reportedly linked with a move to the MLS. Malmö's football director, Daniel Andersson, described Karabelyov as an experienced and tactically skilled defensive midfielder who is also adept in the build-up phase of play. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €800k. In February 2026, reports indicated Partizan's asking price was between €150,000 and €200,000, while Rapid Bucuresti reportedly made a concrete offer of €100,000.
