AS Roma and Olympique Lyonnais have decided to accelerate their efforts to recruit 17-year-old winger Yahia Jlidi from Angers SCO. Roma has been closely following the progress of the Tunisian U17 international, who also holds French citizenship and has 6 caps and 1 goal for his country. The club has initiated steps to position itself. Earlier in the summer, Angers rejected a €4 million offer from AS Monaco for the player. Angers now values Jlidi at a minimum of €7 million. It is reported that Monaco is still interested in the deal. It is also reported that Angers SCO aims to sign him to a professional contract to increase his transfer value beyond this initial bid.
