Lviv-based Karpaty has submitted an official offer to the Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting for 20-year-old attacking midfielder Xavier Biscayzacú, who holds both Mexican and Uruguayan nationality. The Ukrainian club's offer is for a six-month loan that includes an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. If the purchase option is activated, Biscayzacú will be given a full three-year contract with Karpaty. According to Transfermarkt, the player's estimated value is €1 million. Biscayzacú joined Defensor Sporting in January 2025 and has a contract that runs until the end of 2026. He has been capped 6 times for Mexico's U20 team, scoring 2 goals.
