Seventeen-year-old Belgian defensive midfielder Wout Willemsen is to be transferred from KRC Genk to PSV. Willemsen is expected to sign a multi-year contract in Noord-Brabant on Wednesday. Last season, Willemsen primarily played for Genk's Under-19 team and was a substitute for Jong Genk in the early weeks of the current football year but did not make an appearance. It is not yet certain if he will join the first-team squad of the reigning national champions.
