FA filings show that City paid agents to facilitate the departure of Wout Faes. The Belgian defender joined Monaco on loan in January.

The loan agreement for Leicester City's Wout Faes to AS Monaco contains a purchase option of about €8 million. Faes informed the French press of his desire to stay at AS Monaco, stating that the opportunity to join was very welcome. He also said it would be fantastic if he could remain, characterized AS Monaco as a great team, and stated that staying is absolutely what he wants.

Belgian international centre-back Wout Faes, 27, was one of three senior players to leave Leicester City during the January transfer window, joining Monaco on loan until the end of the season. This season, he made 15 Championship appearances for Leicester, scoring one goal, and has played twice in Ligue 1 since his move. Faes has 28 caps for Belgium. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €12.00m.
