Luis Felipe Posso, the agent of 32-year-old Colombian defensive midfielder Wilmar Barrios, did not confirm that his client will extend his contract with Zenit. The current agreement with the Colombian is valid until the summer of 2027. Posso stated it was too early to talk about extending the contract, but that Wilmar is happy at Zenit, and Zenit is happy with him. He added that by this he was not saying and not confirming that there would be an extension. Barrios joined Zenit in February 2019 and has made 18 appearances and provided one assist in the Premier Liga this season. The midfielder, who has 57 caps for Colombia, has a current market value of €7.00m according to Transfermarkt and has been linked with Atlético Nacional.
