Weverson, a 25-year-old Brazilian, will join Gil Vicente, which is a return to Portuguese football for the player after a brief period at the Brazilian club Fortaleza, where he made only four official appearances since joining in July 2025. The left-back is already in Portugal and will join the squad coached by César Peixoto. The former Arouca player will compete with Ghislain Konan for the starting position in the defense. The official presentation of Weverson is expected in the next few days. His contract at Fortaleza was scheduled to run until December 2026, and according to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.20m.
