According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea recently made an attempt to inquire about the possibility of acquiring Wesley. Roma's response was immediate and negative, and the club did not enter into discussions about formulas or financial evaluations. Roma's position is that Wesley is not on the market. The club considers him a technical and patrimonial investment and a player suitable for Gian Piero Gasperini's project. While Roma is seeking capital gains, they have decided Wesley is not among the players to be sold. For the time being, any further attempts from abroad would receive the same negative response.

Chelsea made an inquiry for Wesley, a 22-year-old Brazilian defender, but AS Roma are insistent on keeping the player. Wesley joined Roma in July 2025 and has a contract until 2030.
