Ceará, a club in Brazil's Serie B, announced on a Friday that they have signed Wendel Silva. The 25-year-old Brazilian forward joins on loan from Santa Clara, with the agreement lasting until the end of 2026. For FC Porto B in the 2023/24 season, Silva scored 18 goals, becoming the second-highest scorer in the Portuguese Segunda Liga. During that same season, he also made his debut for the FC Porto senior team in a Taça de Portugal match against Vitória de Guimarães. Wendel joined Santa Clara in July 2025, and his contract there runs until June 2029. In the 2025/2026 Liga Portugal season, he has registered one goal and two assists in 13 appearances.
