Avaí has announced the signing of 24-year-old Brazilian right-back Wallison, who is the club's first acquisition for the upcoming season. The player's contract is set to run until November 2026. Wallison joins after spending the last two seasons at Botafogo-SP, where he featured in the Paulista and Série B competitions, accumulating 63 appearances. His career also includes professional spells with Athletic and the Austrian club Liefering, in addition to youth experience at Bragantino and Botafogo.
