Viktor Bergh Transfer from Djurgården to Hansa Rostock

The third division club Hansa Rostock has bolstered its defense just before their home game opener against Waldhof Mannheim by acquiring Swedish left-back Viktor Bergh. The 26-year-old has joined on loan from the first division club Djurgårdens IF. Bergh comes with a wealth of experience, having played in 70 Superettan (2nd league) games and 59 Allsvenskan (1st league) matches in Sweden. Furthermore, he has made nine appearances in international UEFA Conference League matches and their qualification rounds. Hansa's Director of Professional Football, Amir Shapourzadeh, expressed his confidence in the new addition by stating that Viktor is a straightforward wing player who operates with a lot of intensity, both offensively and defensively. He believes Bergh's experience, mentality, and offensive drive will provide stability and depth to the team, and is convinced that Bergh can assume a leadership role and contribute immediately. Bergh will wear the number 33 jersey in Rostock, becoming the 14th Swede to don the Hansa shirt.

Swedish footballer Viktor Bergh, aged 26, is poised to depart Djurgården due to limited playing opportunities, with a move to Hansa Rostock on the horizon. Sports director Bosse Andersson indicated that Bergh has been allowed to negotiate with another club, and confirmed that an agreement with the German team Hansa Rostock, currently in the German third division following their relegation from the 2. Bundesliga, is nearing completion. Bergh was not present at Thursday's training session as he prepares for his departure, unless unforeseen circumstances arise. He had joined Djurgården from Värnamo the previous summer, but has found it challenging to secure a spot in the team, particularly with the impressive form of Keita Kosugi. Bergh's contract with Djurgården was due to end on December 31, 2027, and his market value is estimated at €600k by Transfermarkt.
