According to Globo.com, Victor Hugo's transfer to Atlético-MG is impending, and the player is in Belo Horizonte to sign a contract. The Flamengo player arrived in the capital on Sunday to undergo medical examinations.

Victor Hugo had returned to Flamengo in July 2025 after a loan to Göztepe, Turkey.
