Athens Kallithea FC announced the acquisition of 20-year-old Greek winger Vasilis Kontonikos on loan from AEK. Kontonikos was transferred to AEK in July 2024. During his first season at AEK, he made 12 appearances with AEK B, scoring three goals and providing two assists. In the season prior, Kontonikos played on loan at PAS Giannina, where he made 20 appearances, scored two goals, and provided two assists. Kontonikos has been capped 10 times for the Greece U19 team, scoring two goals. His contract with AEK is due to expire on June 30, 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €175k.
