Latvian striker Valērijs Šabala, 31, has extended his contract with Chojniczanka Chojnice until June 30, 2028. Damian Wróbel, the sporting director of Chojniczanka Chojnice, stated that they want to keep key players for the next season and that Šabala is one of the best strikers in the II liga. Šabala expressed happiness about staying for another two years, mentioning that he and his wife feel good in Chojnice and are expecting a child there. He has 53 caps and 12 goals for Latvia.
