Metalist 1925 Kharkiv declined an offer from Dynamo Kyiv to sign 24-year-old Ukrainian midfielder Valentyn Rubchynskyi. According to journalist Ihor Burbas, the club's decision was due to doubts about the player's health. The management's concerns were reportedly because Rubchynskyi had previously undergone two surgeries on his cruciate ligaments. This follows earlier information that negotiations between Dynamo and Karpaty for a potential transfer of the player were in progress. Rubchynskyi moved to Dynamo Kyiv from Dnipro-1 in July 2024 for a €1.0M fee. His contract runs until June 2028. The former Ukraine U21 international has 19 caps and one goal for the team and has made two appearances in the Premier Liga this season. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €1.00m.
