Václav Sejk has become the seventh winter signing for Sigma Olomouc after joining from the Dutch club Heerenveen. Sejk signed a multi-year contract at Androv stadion. Sigma Olomouc had been interested in Václav Sejk for over a year. According to the club's general sporting manager, Pavel Hapal, the negotiations were not easy. Sejk was previously on loan at Heerenveen from Sparta, and Heerenveen exercised an option before selling him to Olomouc.

Due to the arrival of Nordas, Heerenveen anticipates the imminent departure of loanee Vaclav Sejk. Nordas had another option to join Wrexham, which is referred to as a 'Hollywood club'. A possible move for Sejk is to Sigma Olomouc.

According to Czech media, Sigma Olomouc is in advanced negotiations to sign Václav Sejk this winter. Sejk has been on a season-long loan at SC Heerenveen from Sparta Prague since the summer. He was not a regular starter and is reportedly receptive to a transfer. Sources including iSport and inFotbal have reported that the player is receptive to returning to his home country. Sigma Olomouc has submitted a second offer to Heerenveen, reportedly valued at a little over one and a half million euros, after a first bid of just over one million euros was rejected. For the transfer to be completed, Heerenveen must first use its purchase option. According to inFotbal, if Heerenveen exercises the option and an agreement on personal terms is reached between Sigma and Sejk, the transfer could be completed quickly. Sejk has previously stated in a Czech interview that he desires stability and wants to remain in one location, especially since becoming a father, following a period of several loan spells abroad.
