Valencia has completed the loan signing of 28-year-old Spanish defender Unai Núñez until the end of the season. The transfer was specifically requested by coach Carlos Corberán and progressed quickly in recent hours to address the club's defensive needs following a serious injury to Mouctar Diakhaby. The agreement was reached through three-way negotiations involving Celta de Vigo, who own the player's rights, Hellas Verona, where Núñez was on loan and had played 18 Serie A matches this season, and Valencia.
