Inter Miami made an offer to Vancouver Whitecaps FC for center back Tristan Blackmon ahead of the 2026 season. The Miami Herald’s Michelle Kaufmann reported that Inter Miami were in the final stages of acquiring Blackmon for a fee near $3 million. According to TransferMarkt’s Manuel Veth, the $3 million offer from Inter Miami would have been paid in installments. Within two hours, Vancouver Whitecaps CEO and Sporting Director, Axel Schuster, provided a statement that refuted an imminent deal. Schuster stated that they had two calls with Miami, including one the previous day, and that there is nothing between the two clubs. He added that Miami respects their position.
