General manager Ivan Gondor said that only administrative matters remain before the transfer of Liverpool academy graduate Tommy Pilling is completed. Gondor stated that they have an agreement with both the club and the player and are waiting only for matters regarding his stay outside the European Union. He also said they expect Pilling to help the team and praised his background at Liverpool.

According to multiple sources close to Liverpool FC and the website transfermarkt.com, 21-year-old English central midfielder Tommy Pilling is joining MFK Zemplín Michalovce from Premier League club Liverpool FC. Pilling signed with Zemplín until summer 2029.
