Southampton's 19-year-old under-21s captain, Tommy Dobson-Ventura, has joined Eastleigh on loan. The move was announced ahead of their National League opener against Gateshead. The defender recently signed a new one-year deal with Southampton, his boyhood club, and was part of the squad that trained in Germany last week. Dobson-Ventura made 25 appearances for the team managed by Adam Lallana last season and has previously represented England at under-16 and under-17 levels. He told club media that he was excited to play for the team, mentioning that he lives nearby and used to attend many of their games.
