He is recovering from a serious injury and is currently not playing a significant role at Pisa, having played only 13 minutes this season.

Bari is reportedly negotiating with Serie A club Pisa for Tomás Esteves as part of a search for reinforcements during the January transfer window. The negotiations concern the 23-year-old Portuguese right-sided player, who is currently not a central part of Alberto Gilardino's plans. Esteves is also returning from an injury that kept him out for the entire previous season. The player joined Pisa in August 2023 and has a contract until June 2026. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.90m. He has made five appearances for Portugal's U21 team and has made one appearance for his club in Serie A this season.
