Tom McIntyre has signed for National League club Forest Green Rovers on a short-term deal until January 2027. The 27-year-old Scottish centre-back, who had been training with Reading to maintain his fitness, could make his debut on Saturday against Hartlepool. Forest Green's director of football, Mark Bowen, said the club was happy to bring McIntyre in to reinforce a position affected by injuries. Bowen, who previously worked with the defender at Reading, added that he knows the qualities McIntyre can bring to the team, highlighting his leadership and extensive EFL experience. The defender has three caps for Scotland U21 and his current market value is €500k, according to Transfermarkt.
