According to Bild, 29-year-old German winger Timo Werner is planning to leave RB Leipzig in the winter, with the MLS as his intended destination. A move to the sister club in New York now appears to no longer be an option, despite the American club having presented him with a two-and-a-half-year contract offer during the summer. Werner is reportedly considering other metropolitan areas, such as Los Angeles. The German international has 57 caps and 24 goals, and has made one appearance in the Bundesliga this season. His contract with RB Leipzig expires in June 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €5.00m.
