AA Gent is reportedly interested in Tim van der Leij, a 20-year-old Dutch striker from the Dutch second-division club RKC. Other Belgian clubs, including Westerlo and OH Leuven, are also interested in the player, while NAC showed interest last winter. Van der Leij joined RKC in August 2025 and has a contract until mid-2028. He scored 17 goals in 35 matches this season. Although his market value is estimated at 350 thousand euros, RKC is reportedly not planning to sell him for a low price and is said to be seeking a fee significantly higher than the one and a half million euros recently obtained from Jordi Altena's transfer.
