Rumors had recently emerged about Tim Heike, a striker from FC Ingolstadt, potentially making a return to Energie Cottbus. The 24-year-old, who had risen from the Regionalliga with Cottbus, has yet to make a significant impact at Ingolstadt, having appeared in six matches without finding the back of the net. Nevertheless, FCE coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz clarified on Wednesday that, to put an end to all speculation, there would be no discussions in the winter about any transfer or loan deal.

Energie Cottbus was interested in re-signing Tim Heike, who scored 21 goals in the previous season. However, the transfer will not happen as Heike, despite struggling for playing time at FC Ingolstadt, wants to stay and fight for his place.
