Bournemouth's Sporting Director, Tiago Pinto, is looking to the Italian top flight to reinforce the English club's squad. One player the club has targeted is Lecce's Tiago Gabriel. The Portuguese central defender, a Portugal U21 international born in 2004, is a regular starter for the Salento-based team and has made 16 appearances and scored one goal in Serie A this season, attracting interest from various other clubs in Europe. He joined Lecce in January 2025 and his contract runs until 2027. Several other clubs, including West Ham United, Juventus and Inter, have also been linked with the player, whose Transfermarkt market value is €15.00m. In December 2025, Lecce's asking price was widely reported as €40 million, while reports in November 2025 cited a valuation between €25 million and €30 million.
